Open Practice Day to Provide Free Showcase of Top Basketball Talent
NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds
Little Rock, AR (February 26, 2008) – Come see eight of the nation’s best teams prepare for the first and second round games of the NCAA Division I Men’s basketball championships. As the teams prepare for action, they will offer an exciting showcase of talent during Open Practice Day to be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Alltel Arena. These activities are free and open to the public. There will be 2 sessions: 12pm – 2:55pm and 4:25pm – 7:20pm. All arena seating is first come, first serve, and no reservations or tickets are needed, so get there early. Doors will open at 11am.
Each of the eight teams competing in the first and second round games in Little Rock will spend 40 minutes on the court. CATA will provide free shuttle service from the southeast corner of Scott and Markham in Little Rock and 24th and Main in North Little Rock. Bus parking will also be available at Dickey Stephens Ballpark. Concessions and merchandise vendors will be open at the arena.
Participating teams will be announced on Sunday, March 16.
NCAA Tournament tickets are SOLD OUT, so Open Practice Day is everyone’s opportunity to see these exciting teams in action.
