“Cruisin’ In the Rock” Expands To Include Bicycles

Cruisin’ in the Rock, Little Rock’s monthly show of classic cars, street rods, trucks and motorcycles will cruise into downtown Little Rock’s River Market District this Friday, April 18, 2008.  This enhanced cruise will feature bicycles, which is a new trend at many cruises across the country!  The following clubs will attend:  Bicycle Advocacy of Central Arkansas-BACA, Arkansas Sustainability Network-ASN, Arkansas Bicycle Club-ABC, Central Arkansas Recreational Pedalers-CARP and Fast Girls Slow Guys-FGSG.  High-end road bikes, triathlon bikes, high-end mountain bikes, BMX (bicycle motocross), chopper bicycles, tall bikes, recumbent bicycles, touring bicycles, classic cruiser bikes, classic 10 speeds and a low-rider bike.

“We are so excited to add these incredible bicycles to Cruisin’ in the Rock,” says Carol Dolan, event chair for Cruisin’ in the Rock.  “Bicycles are a growing trend in the car show world.  You’ll be amazed at the quality and showmanship that goes into these unique bikes.”

Cruisin’ in the Rock are monthly cruises from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the River Market District and are sponsored by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Arkansas Pontiac Association and Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department.

Awards for “Best Cruiser”, “Best Truck”, “Best Motorcycle” and a new category of “Best Bicycle” are presented to four lucky participants. The Arkansas Pontiac Association will present their monthly “Host Club Choice” award. And, of course, all participants are eligible for door prizes.

“Cruisin’ in the Rock” is open to the public and admission is free.  The remaining dates for the 2008 “Cruisin’ in the Rock” season are May 16, July 18, August 15, September 12 and November 21.
For more information on the monthly Cruisin’ in the Rock as well as the “Big Cruisefest in the Rock” on October 24 - 25, 2008, visit www.CruisinLittleRock.com or call Carol Dolan at (501) 370-3201 or (501) 517-1966.
