How to do Girls Night Out in Little Rock
What girl doesn’t enjoy a night on the town with her favorite gal pals? And what better city for a girls’ night out than Little Rock? Arkansas’ capital city is best experienced with friends, making it the perfect place for your next GNO!
Happy Hour with a Twist – Ok, Second Friday Art Night. Or “2FAN” as the locals like to call it. It’s where music, art, shopping, food and fun collide for a night that’s full of the unexpected. Downtown Little Rock is alive with museums, cultural attractions, theaters, art galleries, shops, restaurants and live entertainment; and a ton of them are rolled into one big happy hour event the second Friday of each month. Sipping. Shopping. Socializing. What’s not to love? The event is held on the second Friday of each month, so there’s always one coming up. Local Tip: Ride the trolley for a fun and free way to hit all the stops.
Sensational Showstoppers –
Little Rock knows how to host top-tier shows. The recently renovated Robinson Performance Hall has hosted back-to-back powerhouses like Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Disney’s The Lion King, Jersey Boys and Book of Mormon. Stayed tuned for the-simon-garfunkle-story, Anastasia, RENT, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray, Cats, and Hamilton this season. Local Tip: Grab a pre-show dinner or after-party drinks at a nearby hotspot.
Cocktails with a Flair – Check out Arkansas’s first legal distillery since prohibition. Award-winning Rock Town Distillery is the entry point into the South Main (SoMa) Neighborhood. What makes this place so unique is that it is truly an Arkansas grain-to-glass operation. All ingredients are grown within 125 miles of the distillery’s front door. Spirits are aged in Arkansas barrels and served in glassware made in the state’s Delta region. Tours and tastings make for a fun night. Local Tip: Take a few extra bucks for the Rock Town store. You won’t want to leave without an Arkansas Lightning t-shirts.
Nod to the Nosh – Food is the tie that binds. And local eateries are sacred in Little Rock. It’s hard to list them all, but here are some suggestions. Dine at local favorite Brave New Restaurant with its elegant river-view patio. Dip into a salsa trio while sipping a signature margarita at Local Lime. Enjoy any number of longtime patron favorites at Trio’s. Get the VIP treatment at 42 Bar and Table inside the Clinton Presidential Center. It’s safe to say you can’t go wrong when choosing Little Rock’s local faire. Local Tip: Search with ease right here.
Locally Labeled – Raise your glass, and toast to whatever your heart desires. But, make sure you have your Locally Labeled passport in tow. It’s the perfect way to discover greater Little Rock’s 11 craft breweries, two wineries and award-winning distillery. Visit each one, get a sticker ,and return your passport for some cool swag.
