Little Rock's Most Instagrammable Places
Ask a local or even a visitor who’s been in Little Rock for more than ten minutes and they’ll tell you that Little Rock is a spectacular city full of stunning, photo-worthy sights. We did a little scrolling through Instagram and rounded up some of our most Instagrammable landmarks.
Pinnacle Mountain State Park
It makes sense that the largest park in Little Rock is on this list. On any given afternoon, you’re likely to find a small army of hikers making their way up either of the mountain’s two summit trails. No matter what path you take to the top, it’s always worth it to stop for a selfie on Central Arkansas’s tallest mountain.
Junction Bridge
Whether it’s lit in all its nightly technicolor glory or in the bright sunlight of a fall afternoon, the Junction Bridge is one of Little Rock’s most iconic landmarks. The bridge stands on the site of the original little rock that gave the city its name and makes for a stunning photo in day or night. (Don’t worry, the original little rock is still nearby in La Petite Roche Plaza.)
Riverfront Park
Located in the heart of downtown is one of Little Rock's most beautiful parks. With scenic views of the Arkansas River and hundreds of sculptures, it's the perfect spot for a photo shoot at any time of the year. Be sure to catch the golden hour as the setting sun reflects off the river for the ultimate Little Rock esthetic.
H. U. Lee International Gate and Garden
While a traditional Korean gate may seem out of place for downtown Little Rock, its purpose is clear once you know the story of H. U. Lee. The founder of the ATA Martial Arts (formally known as the American Taekwondo Association), Lee moved its headquarter to Little Rock in 1977. The gate and the garden were built in honor of his global impact on the sport of taekwondo and it still plays host to the sport’s grand master ceremony each year. Taekwondo practitioners come from all over the world to take a photo in front of the gate’s giant red doors.
Downtown Murals
Who knew Little Rock had so many murals? Well, a lot of people, it turns out! Take a stroll by any of downtown’s many murals and you’re bound to see someone engaged in a mini photoshoot. From colorful koi fish, abstract wonders, and larger-than-life toys, there’s a mural to suite any mood with new ones being painted all the time.
Little Rock Zoo
Home to hundreds of animals, the Little Rock Zoo is easily one of the wildest places in town to take a selfie. From portraits with a penguin to landscapes with leumus, you'll find inspiration around every corner.
MacArthur Park Barrel Bridge
Another seemingly out-of-the-way landmark, the barrel bridge of MacArthur Park has quietly become one of Little Rock’s most photographed places. The picturesque bridge ads a modern and industrial look to photos. It can be accessed from either side of Interstate 630, from Bragg Street in the Pettaway neighborhood to the south or from historic MacArthur park to the north (you’ll find it just past the entrance to the dog park).
There's a second scenic barrel bridge in downtown, located between the DoubleTree hotel and the Old State House Museum as it crosses over La Harpe Boulevard.
After you get that perfect shot on the MacArthur Park Barrel Bridge don’t forget to check out all MacArthur Park has to offer.
