Pebbles’ First Pride: LRCVB, Mobile Visitor Center Participate In SoMa Parade
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau and its new mobile visitor center Pebbles joined the parade at the inaugural SoMa Pride Celebration, June 1, 2024.
The weather couldn’t have been better for the SoMa Pride Celebration this year, and the LRCVB was excited to participate in the accompanying parade with its new mobile visitor center, Pebbles.
Pebbles, which was publicly launched during an unveiling event at the Statehouse Convention Center Plaza in downtown Little Rock Feb. 29, 2024, serves as both a roving billboard and an ambassador to promote Little Rock.
Pebbles’ name is a play on words for Little Rock and was inspired by an acronym. Little Rock resident Tamarha Walker suggested Pebbles, to Promote Every Bit of Big Little Rock Excitement.
Fixed with a rainbow flag on its back, Pebbles was proud to ride down the Main Street parade route, driven by Destination Services Specialist Katie Wilson and flanked by Business Development Specialist Alex Tripp and Content Creator David Wilson.
The LRCVB passed out candy, foam “little rocks” and fans to attendees, and was joined on the parade route by Mayor Frank Scott Jr. and about 40 other businesses and groups.
