Museum of Discovery
The Museum of Discovery is Arkansas's premier science center and has been ranked by Mensa and readers of USA Today as the sixth-best children's science museum in America. The museum is located alongside Riverfront Park in downtown Little Rock's River Market District with convenient parking and walking access to hotels, restaurants and shops. With the capacity to accommodate 600+ guests throughout its 25,000 square ft. venue, it offers many different event options and configurations. Rentable space includes the Great Hall, Awesome Science Theater, GigaBite snack area, and 3 multipurpose rooms.
The museum features 90 hands-on exhibits and a variety of engaging programs. Take shelter from a powerful twister in the Tornado Alley Theater, experience the principles of physics and force on a bed of nails, create without limits in the PPG STEAM Studio, and meet animals from around the world. The Museum of Discovery is also the home of a Guinness World Record musical bi-polar Tesla coil that produces 200,000 volts of electricity.
