Following the ceremony and a breathtaking fireworks show, you'll have the opportunity to step inside the Capitol and explore a wonderland of Christmas decorations. One standout feature is the Fallen Heroes Holiday Tree, adorned with the help of volunteers.
Inside the Capitol building, you'll also have the chance to visit Santa in his workshop, where the joy and magic of the season come to life. Don't forget to explore the Capitol Gift Shop, where you can find unique holiday gifts, and be sure to pick up the 2024 Capitol Christmas Ornament.
This magical lighting ceremony also signifies the beginning of extended holiday hours at the State Capitol. You can now visit from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
