RIVER MARKET LIVE! LINEUP ANNOUNCED
Concert series acts named with car show returning.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 23, 2024) - A series of free public events have been announced for Little Rock’s River Market District, giving residents and visitors ample reason to visit the area. The River Market Live! series includes monthly entertainment and a second installment of a wildly popular car show.
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) produces the free series, which will be held at the River Market Pavilions located at 400 President Clinton Ave.
“The River Market isn’t just for tourists,” said LRCVB Destination Project Coordinator Cory Blunt. “It’s a vibrant and active atmosphere that many of us take for granted when planning our free time.”
The next upcoming event will be Cars & Coffee from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The last car event in the area drew more than 300 cars, signaling interest in related events. The event is produced in partnership with River Market Rise, an organization of merchants in the River Market District, and is sponsored by Central Arkansas Corvette Club, Diamond State Car Salon and Express Rally.
In addition to the exotic, classic and custom cars, a DJ will provide entertainment and Ottenheimer Hall will be open early to showcase the restaurants operating inside the facility.
The River Market Live! series will continue with monthly entertainment, kicking off on May 9 with Deedee Jones. Jones, an Arkansas native, just released a new single and her accolades include two first-place awards at the famous “Showtime at the Apollo.” Comedian Brittany Wright will open for Jones on the first night of the concert series, which will be held on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m.
Additional acts will be announced at a later date with information available on the LRCVB’s website at www.littlerock.com.
